Gamble Ready to Camp

Round Rock (Texas) Stony Point receiver Justin Gamble, a Texas State commit, will hit the camp circuit hard this summer...

Round Rock (Texas) Stony Point receiver Justin Gamble committed to Texas State in late May, giving the Bobcats their second commit in the 2015 class.

The 6-foot, 175-pound prospect told Bobcat Illustrated staff that it was his relationship with the staff that ultimately made him decide to commit.

However, other programs are still looking at the athlete, who also claims an offer from Texas Tech.

"I've been hearing from a lot of schools and I'm going to go to a few camps this summer. I've been talking with Coach [Chad] Glasgow from TCU and Coach [Kasey] Dunn from Oklahoma State. Fresno State has also been showing a lot of interest," he said.

"I play the game of football with heart and passion."

Gamble plans to camp with Washington, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Fresno State, California, and TCU, and says he's pretty familiar with the latter.

"I have a friend that plays cornerback for them, Kevin White. He's kind of like my mentor and we talk about everything," he said.

He's looking forward to camping and showing coaches his personality on the field.

"I want them to know that I'll bring heart. I play the game of football with heart and passion," he said.

Aside from recruiting, Gamble is looking forward to his senior season and has enjoyed being back on the field with his teammates for 7on7.

"It's been going really well. We're all trying to get better and we are playing because we love the game, so I'm happy we're all out here together again. I've matured and have really been trying to be a team leader. I'm one of the most experienced players on the team so I'm just trying to share wisdom with our younger guys," he said.
