Hornibrook Settles On Pitt

Pittsburgh landed its quarterback in the 2014 class when Malvern (Pa.) Prep's Alex Hornibrook committed.

Malvern (Pa.) Prep quarterback Alex Hornibrook saw his recruitment intensify in the last two weeks, and it ended with a commitment to Pittsburgh.

The 6-foot-4, 205-pound lefty, who recently added offers from Rutgers and Connecticut, made the decision during a visit to campus.

"I loved everything about Pitt, from the campus to the coaches," Hornibrook said. "It feels like home and I couldn't be more excited to be a Pitt Panther."

Hornibrook was looking hard at Rutgers last week, but decided to wait a little longer before making a decision. The offer from Pittsburgh then came in, and he quickly scheduled a visit and committed as Pittsburgh continues to recruit the Philadelphia area well.
