East High School Satellite Camp

The East High School Camp had even more talent present. Some exciting guys to keep an eye on.

The turnout at the Utah State East High School satellite camp was impressive. For the last few years East High School has been one of the most tapped into schools in Utah for the Aggies. There were players from all over though that impressed some of the coaches.

First and foremost was a Big guy from Murray. Treven Aloi can turn heads when he walks on a football field with his 6'2 320 pound frame. He looked like a perfect fit to me at the Nose Guard position that is so important in an Aggie defense.

Another Defensive lineman that some Aggie fans are familiar with is Hausia Sekona. I was excited to see this raw prospect for myself and see his potential. I left impressed with his explosiveness and quickness. He should have a great year at East and get some interest from schools.

A Defensive lineman from Woods Cross that I really like is Deion Saumalu he is coming off a knee injury but still moved pretty well. He is a guy that is not going to hype himself on twitter etc but opposing offenses stayed away from him. He is versatile, playing 4 different positions last year even at Linebacker.

Also from East, Lorenzo Manu is an intriguing athlete. He will be playing QB in the run heavy East offense. In college most would project him as a Safety. I am excited to watch him play this year.

Jaylen Dyson was also at the camp and the DB from Northridge did not disappoint, he looked fluid in drills. My only question went unanswered because it was an unpadded camp. That is if he can be physical enough to be a great fit in the Aggie Defense.

Another prospect that is kind of coming out of nowhere is Alassane Niang. He is a raw athlete that could have a high ceiling at Highland HS and beyond.

A QB that I like is Caleb Taylor from Layton HS. Not only does he come from good roots (Aggie family of course) but he is still a few years away from college. Especially with the QB position it is so important to work at your craft and put in the work. Caleb sounds like he will be busy with camps and is committed to become a great QB.

The common thread with all these guys is they will be busy this summer with camps and with a good season in HS they could see the offers start coming in. Stay tuned for more stories with USU padded camp and also some more detailed breakdowns to come.
