Walder Up to Four

After seeing Trotwood-Madison (Ohio) sophomore Roland Walder at Ohio State's camp on Sunday, Toledo extended an offer to the outside linebacker.

The recruitment of 6-foot-2, 222-pound outside linebacker Roland Walder has been heating up. After attending Ohio State's camp, the sophomore picked up his fourth offer from one of the other schools in attendance.

"Toledo offered," said Walder. "Coach (Bryan) Gasser texted my coach Graham and said, ‘we just offered Roland, just to let you know."

Walder says that he likes what the Rockets have to offer.

"I like that they're close to home, their coaches are all great and I feel like I could be a good fit on their team," he said.

Something else that the sophomore likes is the possibility of seeing the field early.

"I feel like if I go there I could play as a freshman. They think that as well," said Walder.

Walder hasn't visited before, but is hoping to get up there soon.

"I'm going to visit before our summer workouts start," he said.

Walder also holds offers from Bowling Green, Kentucky and Pittsburgh. He says that continuing to add offers has been a blessing.

"It feels good knowing that my hard work is paying off," said Walder.
