CB Defense Getting SEC, Big 12 Interest

Jacksonville (Fla.) Atlantic Coast High School cornerback/wide receiver Hasan Defense, 6-foot-0 and 180-pounds, is hearing from SEC, Big 12 and Big Ten programs this summer.

Jacksonville (Fla.) Atlantic Coach High School cornerback/wide receiver Hasan Defense has started to heat up in terms of his recruitment this summer. The 6-foot-0 and 180-pound rising senior who has offers from Alcorn State and Coastal Carolina has started to hear from several major college programs this summer.

"Recruiting is going pretty well. I have been hearing from a lot of schools lately. Florida, East Carolina, Georgia, Iowa State, Maryland and Ohio State, those are pretty much the schools I have been hearing from," said Defense of his spring and summer recruiting experience.

Defense is planning on getting offensive by attending several summer camps in search of his first major college scholarship offer.

"I think Florida is going to be my first (major college) offer. I just got back from their camp. Coach Rob (Travaris Robinson), the secondary coach, likes my size, my speed and said that I have good hand and eye coordination when the ball is coming," said Defense of the Gators.

The talented two-way player has also been in contact with Ohio State head football coach Urban Meyer this spring.

"I actually talked to Coach Urban Meyer the week we played our spring game and he said he was going to watch my highlight tape and evaluate it and he hoped they could get me up to camp," said Defense of the Buckeyes.

Defense also plans on camping with several in-state schools and possibly one Big 12 program this summer.

"I know I am going to (camp) East Carolina, UCF, USF and I haven't talked to my coach yet but I think I may try to go to Iowa State," finished Defense.

According to Defense both East Carolina and Iowa State are currently recruiting him the hardest.
