Antwine Receives First Offer

Pontiac (Mich.) cornerback Ja'Mar Antwine went out and earned his first offer by camping over the weekend, and he says the experience has filled him with happiness and relief.

Ja'Mar Antwine has been waiting patiently and working hard to receive offer number one and that offer came this week after he attended Central Michigan's camp on Sunday.

"They offered me [Wednesday]," the 5-foot-11, 175-pound Pontiac High cornerback said. "Coach Strict told me to call Coach Enos and I talked to Coach Enos and he gave me the offer. They offered me at DB, cornerback, he said they're going to bring in two."

The days spent wondering if his work and time would end with the results he wanted are over, and Antwine is relieved of the feelings of uncertainty that come along with that.

And he appreciates the opportunity the Chippewas have given him.

"Basically a lot of pressure came off my back, the pressure I feel coming from where I came from, being the first person from my school to get a scholarship ever, it's a weight that's been lifted off my shoulders."

Antwine will participate in this week's Sound Mind, Sound Body Football Academy, then will continue his camp tour in hopes of adding to his list.

"I have Michigan State, Michigan, Toledo, Georgia, Tennessee and Eastern Michigan."
