OT Clark ready to decide

Austin Clark will make his college today. Scout.com caught up with the 2015 Lexington (Va.) Rockbridge County offensive tackle before his announcement.

Austin Clark is ready to make his college decision.

"I'm down to Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia Tech," said the 6-foot-6, 280-pound Clark. "I'll be announcing today at about 6:20 p.m. on the local news."

Clark said it was a tough decision and multiple factors were considered.

"I was going back and forth between a couple schools, but then it just came to me," he said. "It came down to where I feel the most comfortable, academics at the school and the depth chart."

Which school will the Rockbridge County standout chose?

I think it comes down to three schools – South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia Tech. Clark visited all three schools in the past few weeks. By all accounts, he enjoyed each trip.

If you would have asked me a year ago where Clark would end up, I would have probably given Virginia Tech the advantage. However, I feel like Tennessee became the team to beat shortly thereafter. From there, I think momentum swung back in Virginia Tech's favor. Now, it appears South Carolina is closing really strong.

In the end, he could choose either of the three, but I believe he will ultimately pick Gamecocks.
