Highlands High (KY.) churns out productive quarterbacks year after year. So it's not a stretch to expect the new quarterback, Beau Hoge, to have a big year like his predecessors.

Beau Hoge has been a part of the Highlands program for a long time. The 6-foot, 190-pound quarterback played both as a backup signal caller as well as at wide receiver.

Looking at his numbers from last season, it's not out of the realm of possibility that he'll be very successful under center next season.

"I can't wait for the opportunity (to start at quarterback). I'm very excited," Hoge said.

As a junior, he completed 36 of 56 passes for 735 yards and 11 touchdowns, backing up a 4000 yard passer. He also caught 21 passes for 354 yards and three touchdowns. Not surprisingly, he was able to make a strong impression on Cincinnati and other programs.

"Coach (Darin) Hinshaw had a lot of good feedback. He wants to get me back up there to Cincinnati," Hoge said.

"Ohio is really interested and then Miami, Utah State and Cincinnati have shown interest," Hoge continued.
