Quick Hitter: David Edwards

Four-star Downers Grove North (Ill.) tight end visited Wisconsin Sunday for their one day camp.

Although he already had an offer from Wisconsin, four-star Downers Grove North (Ill.) tight end David Edwards came up to camp at Wisconsin.

Edwards had recently named a top three schools, the Badgers, Illinois and Iowa and got a good look at Wisconsin while he was up to visit.

The sixth overall ranked tight end by Scout.com participated in the camp at his projected position, catching everything that was thrown in his vicinity.

"I thought I performed well today, and I think I left a good impression," Edwards said.

For Downers Grove North, Edwards plays quarterback -- but enjoyed getting a more in-depth look at tight end while he was at Wisconsin.

"It was really just a great day," Edwards said. "I really enjoyed the visit with my family."

Edwards got to see the campus and chat with the coaches with his mom and little sister, who both seemed to enjoy themselves throughout the day as well.

Even though the 6-foot-6, 225 pound prospect was already pretty familiar with the Badgers, he did learn a few big things throughout the day as well.

"I learned that Wisconsin uses their tight end much more than I thought," Edwards said.
