The 2014 SoCal Elite Football Camp presented by official sponsor www.Snap-Raise.com takes place on Friday, June 20th at Cerritos College in Cerritos, Calif.
Several top prospects from Southern California are expected of the nearly 300 prospects registered.
"We have had coaches ask us for years to put on a camp in the LA area," said Cole Morgan, the director of the camp. "We finally have made the decision to go for it."
"The coaches from the schools coach each one of the position drills. This allows the athletes a very unique opportunity that for less than $100 an athlete can be coached by over 15 schools," said Morgan. "The camp is coached by the coaches. We will have one coach for every five athletes."
The camp is part of the Northwest Elite Football Camp, the annual camp in Washington that routinely draws 600-700 campers.
"We expect this camp to grow to be the same size as the NW Camp within three years," said Morgan.
Morgan said the registration for the event has them looking forward to it.
"We are extremely excited at the turnout for this years event," said Morgan. "There are a ton of schools, great coaching and some great talent."
Offensively, Newport Beach (Calif.) Newport Harbor's Cole Norris has quietly had a good spring and looks to continue his ways. Richmond (Calif.) Kennedy running back Ernie Timoteo, who's a target of Cal, will be coming down from the Bay Area.
On defense, a good contingent from Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian will be on hand, including linebackers Trevor Howard and Micah McVaney. Westlake (Calif.) linebacker Reno Dubreuil will also be there.
Anaheim (Calif.) Servite defensive back Kameron Dennis is one of the top prospects expected in the secondary.
