Decision Day Moved Up For Brown

A recruiting journey that started with unofficial visits shortly after his sophomore season is about to end. After previously stating he would announce in late October, Cincinnati Winton Woods lineman George Brown has moved that date up considerably.

Nobody can say Cincinnati Winton Woods lineman George Brown hasn't taken his recruitment seriously, and with nearly 50 offers he really didn't have another option.

Brown, 6-foot-6, 260-pounds, had originally planned to make his decision October 25 on his birthday, but that plan has changed. After several unofficial visits, Brown is ready to make his choice a lot earlier.

"I'm now going to make my decision on July 25," Brown stated Wednesday evening. "I'm really getting ready to end this process, and make my choice. I'm going to try to see a few of these schools again in the next few weeks."

"My final eight schools are Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Missouri, Oklahoma and Virginia Tech," he added. "I'm going to be making my announcement at my dad's training facility."

He has already visited nearly every school in his final eight. Scout.com will be on hand to cover Brown's announcement.
