It's a tight race for the top prospect in Kansas for the 2015 class and one of the players in contention for the honors is Olathe (KS) North's Josh Moore. He's rated as only a three-star prospect, but don't let that fool you, he can play.
Classified as a tight end currently, Moore can also contribute at the next level as a defensive end or even as an offensive lineman. Already standing at 6-foot-6 and 255 pounds, along the offensive lineman may be the position he projects best at due to his athleticism, strength, and wingspan.
The heavily recruited sunflower state product has made the first cut of his process by announcing last night via his twitter account.
Moore named a top six of Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Florida State, and Auburn in no order.
His lead group does not come as a surprise. Moore has insisted that he will be visiting Florida State, Ohio State, and Auburn over the summer. He's already planned trips to check out the Tigers and Buckeyes in July.
The Sooners were expected to make the list as well. He's already visited Norman three times and his comfort level and familiarity is probably the highest with the Oklahoma staff.
Kansas and Missouri are the local schools involved and Moore stuck with them with his first cut. He hasn't been to Lawrence in a while but was on the Tigers' campus a few weeks ago to hang out during a camp.
