Cole is your classic cornerback with very good cover skills. He has good height but needs to bulk up and add weight and strength. Cole possesses good speed, quick feet and shows the ability to flip his hips and change directions. Cole plays with very good instincts and coverage awareness, whether he's playing man or zone. He has long arms and does a very good job of playing the ball in the air. Cole can be physical when needed. Cole is one of a few guys in the secondary committed to FSU that will be participating at The Opening.

McFadden is one of those defensive backs that could end up at corner or safety on the next level. When you see him you may think safety because of size but he has the skill set to be a big corner. He can play on and off the ball with his quickness, length, and ability to react. His length helps his recovery speed as well. McFadden's recruitment is wide open.
