In a few days, 2015 Reserve (La.) East St. John cornerback Antonio Parks will announce which school he plans on attending, and Arizona has done everything possible to hopefully land the rangy defensive back.
"The two schools I'm looking at the hardest are Arizona and Clemson," Parks said. "It's not going to be an easy decision because both schools are doing a great job recruiting me. They've been recruiting me for awhile."
Parks really enjoyed his visits to both schools.
"Arizona was really fun," he said. "When I went out there it was super hot, but it is all good because I know the weather there is great a lot of the time. It was definitely a place I could see myself playing college football for four or five years.
"Clemson was a fun visit as well. Getting to talk with the defensive coordinator was great and everything on the campus was really nice."
Both schools are using similar recruiting pitches on Parks.
"The Arizona coaches think I can play the outside or slot corner spot and in the system they run there is an always an opportunity to play. With the guys they're losing, there would be a legit chance for me to play early.
"The Clemson coaches see me in the slot and they think I'm ready to contribute there. And when you look at some of the players that have come out of there in recent years, it's pretty impressive."
Either way, the wait for both schools will be over by the end of the week.
"It will be a relief to announce my decision in a few days," Parks said. "I'm appreciative of the effort all the schools have put in to get me, but honestly I'm ready to move on and focus on getting better."
