The Opening: Previewing Larry Pryor

Scout.com is profiling each member from the Midlands Region heading to The Opening next week at Nike's headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon, and in this installment we look at Texas A&M four-star safety commit Larry Pryor.

Larry Pryor

7v7 Team: Vapor Carbon
Position: S
HT: 6'0 | WT: 204
Sulphur Springs (Texas)

Scouting Report: Locks on his radar and flows straight to the ball with little to no wasted efforts. He is involved in a lot of plays and often snakes through the line and to make the play for little or no gain. He plays effortless, because he is always in control of his body. He is a very physical player who thrives on making the big hit. He will need to learn to wrap up better and has time to sure up his technique. Looks like a college player already.

At Stake: Pryor is one of the best all-around football players in the state. May fit in best at strong safety on the next level, but would like to see him in some coverage situations. We all know he brings the wood, but can he be a big factor in helping shut down a passing game?
