“I’m looking for a place where I can come in and play early and where I feel most comfortable,” Roseboro said.
The pool of schools Roseboro, a 6-foot-3, 293-pounder from Lincolnton (N.C.), is assessing consists of Alabama, Clemson, Duke, Florida, LSU, Michigan, North Carolina, N.C. State, Ohio State, and Tennessee.
Though at the time of the interview he was unsure which schools were locks to make the cut, Roseboro says UNC’s chances are strong.
“They’re definitely close because of Coach [Larry] Fedora,” Roseboro said. “I really like Coach Fedora and what they’ve got so far in the 2015 class.”
Roseboro said he plans to return to UNC sometime this month, but has yet to establish an exact date.
“I just want to learn about the players,” Roseboro said. “I want to learn how the players are based on character.”
To accomplish that, Roseboro plans to spend the majority of his time during his July stay with current UNC players.
Roseboro will also try to strengthen his relationship with Keith Gilmore, who recruits Lincoln County for UNC and also serves as the Tar Heels’ defensive line coach.
“Our relationship kind of fell off, because I’ve been so busy so I haven’t been able to talk to him,” Roseboro said. “But I talk to Coach [Larry] Fedora, a lot.”
Roseboro says that he speaks more often to coaches from Clemson, Duke, Michigan, N.C. State, and South Carolina.
Besides the UNC trip, Roseboro is unsure of any future visit plans. In the past couple of months, he visited Clemson, Michigan, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
