With prospects coming off the board quickly in the state of Illinois, who are some of the top remaining athletes left on the board for the Illini?
Scout.com takes a look below:
Offensive lineman Quinn Oseland, Sacred Heart-Griffin
Oseland is likely the next prospect to come off the board that has Illini interest after taking a few more visits. He has one on tap to Minnesota and then will likely make his decision.
Oseland has reportedly narrowed down his list, which would likely include the Illini. But publicly he is keeping it hush-hush.
"Just taking maybe one more visit then I have it narrowed down in my head," Oseland said. "And after my visit I will be making my decision."
The three-star would be a nice in-state addition to the offensive line adding to fellow area prospect Gabe Megginson. Megginson has been working hard to secure Oseland's commitment to Illinois as well.
Tight end Caleb Reams, Warren Township
Illinois is sitting well with three-star tight end Caleb Reams, who would be a good fit in the offense. He's a solid route runner who has good hands and fits the mold of a Big Ten tight end. He's taken recent visits to Wake Forest and Illinois and will likely make a final decision when his high school season starts.
Defensive lineman Jamal Milan, Al Raby
Milan is an impressive looking prospect who came on strong during the evaluation period, racking up over ten offers.
Illinois was the first to offer Milan and that is something the three-star prospect has said he will remember that first offer.
"I was excited," Milan said. "Because it would be nice to be somewhere my family could visit me with no problems. And I would love to play for Coach Colby and Coach Beckman."
