Jacksonville (Fla.) Atlantic Coast High School running back/linebacker Terry Bennett continues to pick up scholarship offers this summer. Last week the 6-foot-2 and 200-pound rising senior received his third in-state offer.
"Everything is going good. FIU offered last week. It felt good. We went down there (on an unofficial visit) and everything was fun. The coaches, they were real cool so it was a nice experience," said Bennett who also has offers from South Florida and Florida A&M.
The Panthers are recruiting Bennett as a running back because his style of play fits FIU's pro-style offense.
"They like that I run hard. They think I can be an every down back and can be very successful at FIU," said Bennett.
Bennett also picked an offer from Western Kentucky shortly after spring practice ended in late May. The big back says that the Hilltoppers have been in touch a lot this summer.
Georgia State, Idaho and Tennessee-Martin have also offered Bennett. The list of schools that have expressed interest in Bennett but haven't offered include; Georgia Tech, Indiana, Purdue, UAB and Troy.
