Video: Bruce is staying home

Sam Bruce may have grown up an FSU fan in a Miami household, but the Hurricanes won out in his recruitment. The 2016 four-star receiver of Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas breaks down his commitment to The U right here.

Sam Bruce chose the Hurricanes from a top three of Florida State, Miami, and Ohio State. Despite growing up an FSU fan in a house of 'Canes fans, Bruce decided home is where he wants to stay.

"I'm flipping the script. I want to be a Miami Hurricane," he said.

"All this hard work is finally paying off and I'm going to choose to say home, stay close to my family and friends and put on for my city."

The electric 5-foot-8, 165-pound athlete will be a great addition to the Hurricanes program. Bruce knows he can contribute a lot.

"I never stop. No matter what happens in a play, I always go one-hundred percent. I'm going work hard in practice, work hard in the weight room, my grades are going to be great, and (we'll get) a national championship hopefully," he said.

Bruce explains his decision, who he's recruiting, and more, in the video below.
