OT Loftus Close To Decision

Tallahassee (Fla.) Godby High School class of 2015 offensive tackle Brendan Loftus says he will announce his decision on which school he is committing to on July 29th. The 6-foot-5 and 285-pound rising senior is taking an unofficial visit to Penn State later this week.

Tallahassee (Fla.) Godby High School offensive tackle Brendan Loftus is planning on announcing his commitment on July 29th. The 6-foot-5 and 285-pound rising senior has close to 20 offers but plans on deciding between Miami (Fla.), Florida Atlantic and possibly Penn State. He is set to announce his decision on July 29th.

Loftus already has offers from both Miami (Fla.) and FAU but doesn’t hold an offer from Penn State, yet. This Wednesday Loftus will travel to Penn State for an unofficial visit and hopes to return to Florida with Nittany Lion offer.

”I am leaving for Penn State on Wednesday. They have been showing me a lot of love and when I went to their camp they liked me a lot and they wanted me to come up and see the campus for myself,” said Loftus who camped with Nittany Lions at Stetson University in Deland, Florida in June.

While Penn State will be having a camp while Loftus in on his visit he isn’t sure if he will participate or not.

”I think just hanging out with the coaches and seeing what they are like,” answered Loftus when asked what most excited him about the trip.

If Penn State does offer Loftus the Nittany Lions will join Miami (Fla.) and FAU as one of the three schools he will ultimately choose from.

Loftus also holds or held offers at one time from Auburn, East Carolina, Kentucky, Missouri, South Alabama, Southern Miss, Syracuse, TCU and Wisconsin.
