Rated as the No. 12 middle linebacker in the nation by Scout.com, Te'Von Coney is a very highly sought after prospect.
The 6-foot-2, 215-pound Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., senior-to-be has collected more than two dozen scholarship offers and while interest continues to rise he recently cut his list of schools under consideration to ten.
Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Miami, North Carolina State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Tennessee and UCF made up his list one month ago. His plans were to trim that group to at least five in August and then plan for official visits.
Coney added another to his list on Monday.
“I Will Now Be Considering Louisville Cardinals,” he said on Twitter. He hopes to visit a number of those he's considering prior to the start of his season season.
“I'm going to try to make it to Tennessee, Ohio State and Auburn,” he told Scout.com “I'm going to try to go to Louisville and back down to Florida and that's probably it.”
A three-star prospect, Coney earned MVP honors at the Miami Nike Football Training Camp in March and participated in The Opening. As a junior he totaled 172 tackles, six forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and two interceptions.
