The Opening: WR Equanimeous St. Brown

Anaheim (Calif.) Servite wide out Equanimeous St. Brown battled some injury issues at The Opening last week but when he did play, he was very good.

There are several talented 'big' receivers and Equanimeous St. Brown might be the best of the bunch. He measured in at The Opening at 6-5, 191 pounds and uses his frame and long arms to create a very big catch radius. He has soft hands, has underrated speed and quickness and has improved his physicality and ability to beat press coverage.

"I had an amazing experience," St. Brown said. "There was so much talent there and it was great meeting the guys and learning from them. We talked a lot about recruiting and what schools we were looking at. It was cool to pick each others brain and see who everyone likes and why."

St. Brown said he's likely down with unofficial visits but did set up his first official to Notre Dame.

"I'm going to Notre Dame (Oct. 4) when they play Stanford," St. Brown said. "I took an unofficial there already and liked it a lot so I'm excited to go back. I don't know where else I'll go, my schedule during the season is pretty busy so i'm just playing it by ear.

"It's safe to say Stanford will get one too and I might take one to LSU. I like USC and UCLA too but they're close enough that I could just drive there for an unofficial. I could do an official to one of the local schools too, right now, I'm open to everything. I'm just going to play the season out, watch how these teams look on the field and see where I fit in the best. From there, I'll do my visits and make a decision."
