Jackson hitting the road

Nebraska fans were excited to hear how well signal-caller Lamar Jackson’s visit went to Lincoln earlier this summer. He has some more visits coming up, but the Huskers should feel very good about where they stand.

Boynton Beach (Flor.) Community High School is hard at it this summer according to their head coach, Rick Swain. Coach Swain has one of the most exciting quarterbacks in the nation in Lamar Jackson who has been active this summer with recruiting.

"Lamar has been active this summer," Head Coach Rick Swain said. "I would have liked to have seen some more 7-on-7 games, but we have some coming up and Lamar worked hard in the spring."

There have been a few trips for Jackson this summer. He will actually be on the road to an SEC school tomorrow. After this weekend there may be as many as two more visits before the start of fall camp.

"He's been up to Nebraska. He's also been to UCF and Florida State. He goes to Auburn tomorrow for a visit. He will also probably go to West Virginia and to Louisville.”

Coach Swain had some personal thoughts about Jackson and Auburn. ”He perfectly fits what Auburn does with their offense. That is the same offense that we run in high school.”

Jackson visited Lincoln this summer and according to Coach Swain it’s still a hot topic of conversation. Jackson really liked the idea of how the fans of Nebraska supported their team.

”He talks about the Nebraska visit a lot,” Coach Swain said. “He was really impressed with what Nebraska had to offer. He really liked how the football team is like the center of the universe there. He really liked that.”
