Mark Stoops & Co. landed verbal commitments from a pair of highly regarded defensive backs from Florida and Ohio.
Three-star Lake Wales (Fla.) Senior High School standout Marcus Walker, who originally committed to the Cats in January before re-opening his recruitment, decided to return to where his heart initially led him.
Moments after Walker announced his decision via the Twitter social network, so did three-star Trotwood (Ohio) Trotwood-Madison safety Kei Beckham, who had openly campaigning for a UK scholarship offer in recent weeks.
After a strong showing at UK's camp, Beckham (5-11, 177) received the offer he was craving and committed on the spot. He picked the Cats over programs like Louisville, Indiana, Cincinnati, Illinois and Wake Forest.
Kentucky now has 14 verbal commitments in the Class of 2015, which ranked No. 26 nationally by Scout prior to the newest additions.
Walker and Beckham are the first two defensive backs in the class.
Walker is the second player to commit from Lake Wales Senior, joining highly-regarded center Luke Hiers.
Beckham is the Cats' sixth verbal from the Buckeye State. He is the first player that UK has landed from talent-rich Trotwood-Madison after years of recruiting the school.
