Beckman is more of a corner in high school than a safety as he brings the ability to cover in space or lockdown a receiver coming off the line. The great thing about Beckham is his ability to read a receiver and step in front and make a play that often leads to his team having the ball or adding points on the scoreboard. Earning Beckham’s pledge was also a recruiting win over instate rival Louisville as Beckham had narrowed down his schools to the Wildcats, Cardinals and Wake Forest.

The biggest area of concern is how soon will Beckham be able to take the field and compete at the college level in the SEC. At this time, Beckham is sitting at the 175-pound mark but will need to add bulk and strength. We fully expect this to happen with natural maturity and work in a college strength program.

It is easy to use the words lockdown corner and playmaker when you watch Beckham on the field. While Beckham has always shown a nose for the ball, his biggest trait has been his ability to make a play when his team needs it most. Beckham is a tested player in a program that has been extremely successful during his career. Has shown solid athletic ability while being able to flip his hips or to plant and break on a ball to break up a play. While not known for being a big hitter, Beckham is not afraid to come up and provide run support.
