Bell Sees Leader Emerge

The Golden Eagles were the first to offer Faith Academy's Tyler Bell and that one has always meant a lot to him. After a weekend visit to Southern Miss, the talented RB named a leader in his recruitment.

Tyler Bell has always favored the Southern Miss Golden Eagles.

They were the first to offer, and have been pursuing him back into when he was a sophomore RB at Faith Academy in Mobile, AL.

As the talented RB has continued, the Eagles have been right there with him.

Saturday was a key visit for Bell, who took in the "Black Ops" elite recruiting visit along with a handful of other top prospects.

As with everyone who was there, he came away impressed.

"The visit was great, it went really well and we all had a blast," Bell told GoldenEaglePride.com.

"It was one of the most fun visits I've ever had to a school."

Bell was able to spend time with Coach Monken after the event as well.

"My mom and I sat down with Coach Monken for about 45 minutes after the camp and we talked about how he would love me to be at the school," Bell explained.

"He wants it to be a choice I am comfortable with making and good for my future. He was telling me about the running back situation they had and how I could help. He then asked me about what I liked about Southern Miss."

Bell, who has offers to ULL and Southern Miss, also said Wake Forest is also pursuing him as he took a visit there recently.

He was, however, ready to name a leader.

"Right now Southern Miss is at the top," he said.

Bell also added he does not have a time table for making his decision, but this was the last visit he'll take this summer certainly giving the Golden Eagles the edge.
