Freddie Swain is a 6-foot-1, 180-pound wide out with offers from South Florida, Miami, Cincinnati, Arkansas and Alabama. He will showcase his talents in front of Chris Leak, Kurt Roper and Will Muschamp on Friday night in the Swamp. For Swain, a rising junior, the process is a bit overwhelming but something that makes him want to work even harder.
”It’s crazy,” Swain said. “It makes you work even harder because there are people that would kill to be in the position I am in. You can walk around on different college campuses and people know who you are. They are calling out to you and you don’t even know them.”
Swain has a good relationship with running backs coach Brian White.
”I have a real good relationship with Coach Brian White,” Swain said. I am looking forward to going to FNL and competing with the best players in the nation. I am coming with Khali Mitchell (D-Line) and S.J. Montgomery (Defensive back) we are bringing a few others.”
Like so many younger players, Swain also knows a couple key factors that will go into his decision making process moving forward.
”The first key factor for me is somewhere that I can feel at home,” Swain said. “Also, somewhere that I can come in and play as a true freshmen. I also want to have a good relationship with all the coaches if I were recruiting Freddie Swain. If you put the ball in my area I am going to go get it. I need to work on my speed.”
