Recently, ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with long-time Missouri offer and 2015 DE prospect Anree Saint Amour 6’3” 240 Suwanee (GA) North Gwinnett, who updated us on his recruitment, including a narrowed list of schools and some visit plans.

Missouri offered Saint Amour more than a year ago after the talented defensive end prospect and several of his teammates had attended a Missouri team camp. Not long after that, Saint Amour had told ShowMeMizzou.com that Missouri was his favorite. But this year, Saint Amour’s offer list has grown, and his list of favorites has expanded.

Saint Amour currently holds offers from Georgia Tech, Illinois, Iowa, Louisville, Michigan State, Northwestern, Ohio State, South Florida, Syracuse, Tennessee, and Wake Forest, among others, in addition to Missouri. He named a list of favorites that includes Georgia Tech, Iowa, Michigan State, Missouri, and Ohio State.

Saint Amour has already taken unofficial visits to Georgia Tech, Michigan State, and Ohio State, in addition to his earlier visit to Missouri.

He wants to take an official visit to Missouri, followed by official visits to Iowa and his other favorites.

“I’m going to try to take official visits to all five schools,” said Saint Amour. “But, I mean, if I find out what school I want to go to, I might just stop, and go ahead and commit.”

“I’m trying to plan an official visit to Missouri,” said Saint Amour, who went on to say that he might take his official visit to Missouri in September. North Gwinnett has a bye week when Missouri plays host to UCF.

Saint Amour said that he speaks regularly with Missouri assistant coaches Alex Grinch and Craig Kuligowski. He said that Coach Kool has expressed to him that Missouri really wants him to come and play for the Tigers.

“It’s very important to know that Missouri really wants me,” said Saint Amour.

Saint Amour had some new testing numbers to report, including a 4.74-second 40-yard dash, to go along with a 38” standing vertical jump, and a 400-pound bench press maximum.

He talked about each of his top schools.

“I like Ohio State and Michigan State a lot,” explained Saint Amour. “Ohio State and Michigan State are big-time schools. Great places. Great campuses. Great people. Great coaches.”

“Iowa really wants me,” continued Saint Amour. “They’re recruiting me very hard.”

“Missouri was the first one to offer me,” said Saint Amour. “I haven’t been up there in a long time, so it’s kind of hard to remember everything. When I went up there, I loved it! I loved the campus. I love the fact that the coaches had all been there a long time, so it was a real family atmosphere. You know, their defensive ends are all kind of my size, and with their scheme, they’re going after the quarterback all the time. It’s kind of like a defensive line factory over there. So, I can go there and be successful, so that’s a great thing, too. I like Missouri a lot!”

Saint Amour said that having some former North Gwinnett teammates at Missouri is attractive to him.

“It’d be kind of cool,” said Saint Amour, referring to playing at Missouri along with former teammates and good friends, Nate Brown and Daniel Imatorbhebhe.

Saint Amour said that he intends to take his first official visit to Missouri. He suggested that it could be his last.

“Missouri’s probably going to be my first official visit,” said Saint Amour. “It could possibly be my last.”
