Richards (Ill.) rising senior wide receiver Spencer Tears has reopened his recruitment, and is starting to get some new interest.
The 6-foot-2, 175 pound three-star prospect originally gave his commitment to Nebraska after a spring visit, but decided to step back and re-evaluate his decision as the summer started.
The two schools that have most recently started showing interest in Tears, Kansas and Connecticut have been giving him very positive reviews.
"They both said they love my game because I am a game changer and they need a playmaker on the team," Tears said. "So they both told me that they are real interested."
Recruiting wise, Tears is planning on slowing down the process this fall and focusing on his senior season.
"As of now no I am not planning any other visits," Tears said. "I'm focusing on the season and my boys."
"We can be very, very dangerous," Tears said. "We have weapons everywhere literally. Our offense this year is a whole different story, and it's scary."
At this point, Tears has turned almost all his attention to the fast approaching opening weekend.
"I am looking forward to just getting back on the field and balling," Tears said. "I feel like we got some unfinished business."
