Gibson, from Plantation (FLA) American Heritage, drew most of the attention, from the Ohio State staff as well as the multitude of Buckeye fans on hand. Gibson was extremely impressed by what he saw.
"I saw all those people inside the stadium, and I just had a ball being here," Gibson exclaimed following the camp. "I saw a lot of new faces and it was great meeting everyone. I wasn't going to work out or throw, but my coach fired me up and I wanted to get out there and do it."
"I had to come out here and do what I do best," he added. "I thought I did alright, and I was working on my drop-step and my release. Those are things that I need to work on most. I loved everything about it, especially Coach Meyer."
Landing Gibson might not be the longshot it appears from the outside, especially with Meyer leading the recruitment for the Buckeyes.
"Coach Meyer is so hype, and he's so juiced up every time we talk," he explained. "When he first saw me, he started jumping up and down. He was eating some food, but he stopped eating when he saw me and started jumping around. It was crazy."
"It was great to finally get to Columbus, and the visit was more than I could have imagined," he admitted. "The campus was so beautiful and it was so big, which is what I like. Columbus is a great place, and they have an awesome stadium. They're building more stuff, and I can't wait to come back here."
Gibson stressed that he would be taking an official visit to Ohio State later this year.
"I'm definitely going to be back here on my official, and the Ohio State fans will be very happy when I update my list on Twitter coming up," he said with a laugh. "I don't want to release it tonight, but I will just say that Ohio State fans will be very happy when I put it out there."
"I'm not sure when I will be back and I need to find a game, and it will probably be the Michigan game," he stated. "That game will be hyped and I can't wait for it."
Scout.com will continue to update Gibson's recruitment all the way through National Signing Day.
