Simmons Pushes Back Decision

The Bethlehem, Pa., Catholic three-star pass catcher will no longer pick a program this weekend.

Freddie Simmons was set to decide between Rutgers, West Virginia, Virginia, and Wake Forest Sunday.

That is no longer the case.

The Bethlehem, Pa., Catholic receiver said Friday he is pushing back his announcement date, citing a desire to be certain about his decision and to make sure no other interest or offers are coming.

"I don't want to be that guy that decommits," Simmons said. "I want to see if I can get different looks.

Being able to see programs during the season was another reason the senior decided to wait.

"If I wait it out and I don't get different looks, I'll at least be able to officially visit my top schools before I make a decision," Simmons said.

"I don't want to be that guy that decommits," Simmons said.

The receiver is now looking at a decision after his senior season.
