Abram Narrowing It Down

The Golden Eagles are trying to close in on several local prospects and hoping to keep them in-state. One is East Marion High School's (Columbia, MS) Johnathan Abram. He updated the latest with GoldenEaglePride.com.

Johnathan Abram is going to be one to watch during the fall.

The very talented safety is finding things heat up between two teams, and it seems it could come down to that two horse race.

Southern Miss and Louisville have seen plenty of rivalry games on the field, and now they are battling it out for prospects.

"I hear from Southern Miss and Louisville more than anyone else," Abram told GoldenEaglePride.com.

"I'm going to take official visits before I decide but I really am loving those two and they are standing out to me."

Does he have a leader?

"No, not yet at this point," he said. "Its going to take a visit to tell who will be ahead of the other."

How much does he hear from Southern Miss?

"Constantly," he said bluntly. "I hear from Southern Miss every single day. I have a great relationship with those coaches over there.

"Being close to home would be nice but its not my most important factor in my decision."

For now, the talented safety said he just wants to get his own team ready.

"My mind is always on recruiting but I am focused on winning and helping my team as much as I can," he said. "The seniors are meeting right now and trying to get our team on track and seeing how we can lead them."

No matter the case, Abram is going to be a hotly contested recruit down the stretch.
