It’s a new season and a new beginning for defensive end Jason Strowbridge. This four-star recruit from Deerfield Beach (Fla.) high school has bulked up and changed his on the field demeanor.
”Jason is doing very well,” said Allen Jackson, Deerfield Beach’s coach. “He now 6-foot-5, 250-pounds. He’s running so well and he’s just had a great off-season. Last year he was at 230 so he has really added some muscle. The weight room and working out have been a huge factor. And he’s eating right now. He also looks like he’s plays with more aggression. He also camped at some schools and learned some new technique. The kid looks good.”
Strowbridge is the No. 3 ranked defensive end in the state behind a pair of five-stars in CeCe Jefferson (Glen Saint Mary Baker County) and Byron Cowart (Seffner Armwood). This summer he has been busy camping and visiting a handful of schools.
”I believe he camped at Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida, FSU and visited Alabama and Auburn. I know he has a couple of favorites right now but I don’t want to name them for him because I don’t know for sure. But I do know that he will narrow things down a bit before the season.
Jackson said that there is one team that is certainly expressing the most interest at this time.
Strowbridge is the No. 26 ranked defensive end in the nation in the Class of 2015.
