Four-Star Day For Pitt

BREAKING NEWS---- Austintown Fitch tailback Darrin Hall has just committed to Pittsburgh. The four-star prospect selected the Panthers over the likes of Michigan State, Kentucky and Nebraska.

Four-star runningback Darrin Hall has committed to Pittsburgh, choosing the Panthers over such programs as Kentucky, Michigan State, Nebraska, and others.

Hall, 6-foot, 195-pounds, is the number-29 ranked runningback in the country. He discussed his reasons for choosing Pitt.

"I committed to Pittsburgh because it was the right fit for me, both on and off the field," Hall stated. "I was there last week and saw the FBI headquarters, which was great because that's what I want to do after college. I can be an intern with the FBI right there, and that means a lot to me."

"The coaching staff is amazing and I'm excited to learn from people who have already been in the NFL," he added. "Coach (John) Settle is a great coach and I know how much he can help me become a better player."

Rather than wait until later in the year, Hall decided to make his choice public before his senior season gets underway next week.

"Both of my parents want me to do this now, because it protects me in case of an injury," he explained. "I know if that would occur I would have college paid for, and my future would be secure."

"We feel that since Pitt is clearly the right school for me, it's best to play it safe and commit to the school at this time," Hall admitted. "I will be going to Pitt next June, and I will not be graduating early."
