His Recruiting Story:
After rushing for 950 yards as a sophomore, Hall began receiving attention from schools, and received offers from Nebraska, Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky before Winter was done. By the time Spring came around, Michigan State, Purdue, Louisville and others would be added to the list. After a relatively quiet summer where he did not take many visits, Hall visited, then committed to the Pitt Panthers just before his senior season began.
"I was there last week and saw the FBI headquarters, which was great because that's what I want to do after college. I can be an intern with the FBI right there, and that means a lot to me. The coaching staff is amazing and I'm excited to learn from people who have already been in the NFL," he added. "Coach (John) Settle is a great coach and I know how much he can help me become a better player."
Taller, longer back who does a good job of compacting himself when taking contact. Has very good balance and runs through tackles and keeps his feet when being tripped up. He's more of a north-south guy, a slasher who can run between the tackles, but has shown some elusiveness in the backfield when faced with penetration. He has a good burst through the hole, but not elite suddeness or long speed. We have not had a chance to evaluate him much as a pass receiver. One thing we did notice, he tends to swing the ball away from his body when he runs. That will be something that he should correct when he gets to college.
Hall has great vision, balance and toughness. While not likely to be a home-run threat, he is the type of kid who can carry the load and be a workhorse for the Panthers. He runs hard and is only going to get stronger and more explosive once he gets into a college strength program.
