Past Few Days Busy in Texas recaps more than a half dozen commitments in the state of Texas in the past few days.

The closer the calendar gets to the 2014 high school football season, the more commitments occur in the Lone Star State.

Since Thursday evening, the state of Texas has seen at least seven commitments of players in the 2015 recruiting class. Four of those players have committed to in-state schools -- including a pair of defensive linemen who Texas State landed -- while the other three have pledged outside the state's borders.

The biggest name to commit during the past few days is Newton four-star defensive back Roney Elam (pictured above), who is in the state top 50 and the Scout 300 national rankings. Elam on Friday became the fourth East Texan to commit to Texas A&M, choosing the Aggies over fellow finalist LSU.

Here's a recap of the commitments since Thursday night:

Ryan Wegmann, 2015 DE/DT, Wichita Falls Rider -- committed to North Texas (also has offers from Air Force, Colorado State, Texas State)

Shola Ayinde, 2015 CB, Richmond George Ranch -- committed to Tulsa (other offers from New Mexico State, Utah State, UTEP)
