Coach Speak: Carson Lydon

East Lake coach Bob Hudson said that his star linebacker, Carson Lydon, has had a super off-season. He's a three-star recruit and the nation's No. 55 ranked outside linebacker.

Tarpon Springs (Fla.) East Lake standout linebacker Carson Lydon is due for a big senior season. This future Virginia Tech Hokie is a kid with good size and some serious aggression. In fact, he plays only one way, whether it’s in drills or the real thing and that’s 100 miles per hour or like his hair is on fire.

”That’s just Carson,” said Bob Hudson, East Lake’s coach. “That’s how he is every day no matter what we are doing. That’s just how he plays.

Lydon, 6-foot-2, 230-pounds, is a guy that can play inside and out. He’s terrific between the tackles and can make plays in space.

”Carson has done real well this off-season,” Hudson said. “He’s more physical. He’s bigger and faster. He’s a kid that is just rock solid and only knows one speed.”
