S100 QB visiting Oklahoma officially

Oklahoma has quietly put itself into contention for one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in the country and he will be in Norman soon...

An official visit has been scheduled.

Scout 100 quarterback Torrance Gibson is considering Oklahoma and the Sunshine State star will be in Norman, Okl. soon.

"I will be there (Oklahoma) in two weeks (September 13) for an official visit," said Gibson.

The only other official visit scheduled at this time for Gibson is to Ohio State. He plans to see the Buckeyes play Virginia Tech on the weekend of September 6.

Outside of Ohio State and Oklahoma, the 6-foot-3 1/2, 207 pound senior is also considering Arizona, Auburn, Miami, and Tennessee.

The Sooners have his attention and Gibson is looking forward to his visit.

"My interest in strong in Oklahoma," said Gibson. "I am talking to Coach [Bob] Stoops and Coach [Josh] Heupel the most.

"I like that Oklahoma is giving me the opportunity to play quarterback and how they are staying in touch with me. It also is a great business school."

Gibson, the No. 46 prospect in the country on Scout plans to take all five official visits before he makes his decision.
