Prospect Watch: Sherman vs. Lone Star

FRISCO, Texas -- Scout names a few players we'll keep an eye on Thursday at Toyota Stadium...

TXHSFB Prospect Watch
Bearcats vs. Rangers

Frisco (Texas) Lone Star (0-0)

#3 QB Jason Shelley
Class of 2017

Shelley was named one-of-16 Class of 2017 four-stars last week and had an excellent freshman season, showcasing the skills to beat defenses with his arm or on the ground. He should be even better this year as he has had an interesting off-season of competition, attending events like the Elite 11 at AT&T Stadium, pushing and testing himself against the area's best. Nebraska and Clemson have offered.

#77 OL Charlie Grammel
Class of 2015

Grammel has started for Lone Star since his freshman season, but started to come in to his own last year earning all-district honors playing on the same line as SMU signee Nick Natour. He is now the anchor of the offensive line. Has offers listed from Navy and Arkansas State.

Sherman (Texas) High (0-0)

#75 Aaron Garza
Class of 2015
Committed to Kansas

Garza was originally committed to Mack Brown at Texas, but came back on the market after the coaching switch and ended up accepting a scholarship offer to play in the Big 12 at Kansas. Garza played right tackle last season, but will likely be more of a fit on the interior once he gets to college.  Rated as a three-star.

#79 OL Gage Thomason
Class of 2016

Thomason really caught our eye last year in a game against Sulphur Springs (Texas) High. He played right guard next to Garza and may have had the stronger night of the two on that particular night. He is listed on the 2014 Sherman Roster at 6-foot-, 285 pounds, so he has the size and frame of a tackle.
