Scout takes a look at the prospects in tonight's action pitting Hannibal High School against Helias Catholic in Missouri.
When speaking about the Hannibal Pirates, the focus is on junior prospects Jerry McBride and Dylan Powell. Both are getting heavy attention from many programs.
Powell is an interior offensive lineman but could also see some offensive tackle. It will be the first up close of him in action. Powell has received early interest from a variety of programs, but has heard most from Missouri, Iowa, and Nebraska. All three programs have informed him that he will be evaluated extensively off of his junior season and that a scholarship offer is quite possible.
McBride is a defensive back that has gained serious accolades early on. He was a star in last week's opener, intercepting two passes as a cornerback. The junior has the size many college programs covet at 6-foot and 185 pounds.
The headliner for the Crusaders is tight end Hale Hentges. The senior had a bevy of scholarship offers, but chose Alabama over the field and will enroll with the Crimson Tide after his senior year.
Hentges is a two-way standout, starring as both a tight end and defensive end. His length and athleticism are the reason for his tremendous upside and national attention, as he stands at 6-foot-5 and 235 pounds.
