Johnathan Abram is the kind of rangy defensive back that Kentucky has looked to add to the program during the Mark Stoops era. Abram, 6-foot-2, 200-pounds, has the prototype build as a safety.

“I’m comfortable at defensive back and punt return,” said Abram. “I’m hard-working. I play with a lot of aggression. I‘m a play-maker. I am a leader on both sides of the ball.”

Abram’s caught the eye of several schools as his senior season gets started.

“I hear from Georgia, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Louisville, Kentucky and California,” he said.

Kentucky is the most recent offer for Abram. He likes the staff and the program that Mark Stoops has put together.

“It felt great to get that offer. It makes me feel really good. I think it’s a great program with some good coaches,” he continued.

Abram hasn’t come up with a time to make his decision or set up his officials visits at this time.
