Prospect: Zach Rogers School: Lewisville (Texas) Hebron Opponent: Coppell (Texas) High
Rogers and his Hebron teammates fell short, but played a spirited game, opening up consistent running lanes which translated to an impressive 399 rushing yards.
Rogers, a Scout.com four-star and the No. 3 rated center in the country, was a big part of the success from his left tackle position.
He is aggressive and block mean when the play calls for it, but he always plays in control on the field and knows his assignment.
He runs the field well and has good feet.
On thing that stuck out to me on this night is that he is super impressive on the combo block. It seems like he just seems to feel it from a timing perspective and can finish.
He has a natural feel for peeling off to the linebacker and securing the secondary block and you rarely see him whiff.
