Possible Official Visits For Hardin

Webb City (MO) athlete KiAnte Hardin describes his team's huge victory over state power Rockhurst. He dishes on his recruitment as well and names two schools that could expect official visits, as well as one Pac-12 school beginning to show serious interest.

Athlete KiAnte Hardin was a standout Friday night as Webb City knocked off Rockhurst in Missouri high school football action. The perennial 4A power was boosted by Hardin's efforts, coming up with an interception and recording a touchdown reception that shifted the momentum towards Webb City for the last three quarters of play.

Hardin admitted this game was on the minds of the team for a while, afterwards.

"It was definitely circled on the calendar," he said. "It really feels good. It was a game that everyone was looking forward to for a long time. It finally happened and we came away with a big win to show people in that state that we are for real. It feels incredible."

Hardin has three state championship rings, but does this single victory compare at all in stature?

"It's pretty close to be as satisfying as the three state championships," he stated. "It's a big game and people told us we were going to get blown out, and lose the way we actually beat them. It's an upset I guess, but we don't think so."

His position at the next level is still a bit unclear, as various programs are recruiting him at different positions. Wide receiver may be the spot he best projects at for college, and one Pac-12 program is beginning to see the same.

"I've talked to Oregon State this week and they want me as a wide receiver," Hardin noted. "They had a good one that went to the NFL last year. They haven't offered by they've been talking to me a lot more. I want to watch some of their games this year. They need to see some film from my games this year and they may come watch me in person, too."

A few schools are getting a bit more attention from Hardin at this time.

"I've focused on some more than others, but nobody is out of it," he pointed out. "Bowling Green and Tulsa are two I'm really looking into. Minnesota is in there, too."

The Falcons may not be a power five conference school like the Gophers, but they've been near the top for the duration of Hardin's process.

"They have great, young coaches," Hardin told Scout. "They know what they're doing and have been successful in multiple spots. Coach Babers is my guy and he's been so successful. I think he can be successful at Bowling Green, too."

No official visits have been set yet by Hardin but he knows of a couple he'd like to take at some point.

"I haven't scheduled any official visits yet but I know I'll take one to Minnesota, for sure," he shared. "I'll most likely take one to Bowling Green as well."
