You better pay attention to social media because it could happen any day now for George Campbell. Then again, this Tarpon Spring (Fla.) East Lake four-star wide receiver could just let things play out a bit more for his commitment.
”I might do it [commitment] on Twitter,” Campbell said. “I want to keep the distractions away because we are trying to have a great season.
Campbell, 6-foot-3, 195-pounds, says he is down to three teams.
”I may know a little bit in my head [of where I want to go]. Right now I don’t want any distractions and I want to keep the focus on the game and our next team.”
Campbell was previously committed to Michigan. He did that over a year ago before backing away from his pledge to the Wolverines. Now he insists that he will be thorough before he pulls the trigger again.
“I am really close,” Campbell said. “I may do something soon. I am laying back a little bit.
”Academics, being comfortable and finding the right spot for me are what’s most important.”
Campbell played a variety of roles in East Lake’s first win this season over Palm Harbor University. He played wide receiver, running back, returned kicks and defensive end.
”With coach [Bob] Hudson you just never know,” Campbell said. “We can run a lot with this offense and I know they want to get the ball in my hands. I will do whatever as long as we get the W.
