The sight of a 6-foot-4, 195-pound, wide receiver leaping over and running past defenders has spurred recruiting interest in Akron Hoban's Jonah Morris.
After impressing as a safety last season as a sophomore, Morris added wide receiver to his job duties, and that should be the position he plays at the next level.
Judging from the past 24 hours, it looks solid that there will be a next level for Morris.
"A couple things have happened," Morris told Scout.com. "First off, Ohio State invited me to come to their game with Virginia Tech this Saturday. We have a game at 1:00 p.m., but my dad and I are going to go to Columbus right after I'm done. I'm excited to see this game."
"Right after I talked with Ohio State, I spoke with Kentucky assistant coach Vince Marrow, and he said they are offering me a scholarship," he added. "It feels really good to get that first offer, and I'm excited about Kentucky. I know I have to keep working hard though."
Here is video of Morris in action from last Thursday. He is number-one in the blue jersey.
