Gibson changes his schedule

Torrance Gibson’s Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage team now has a game on Saturday this week and because of that he won’t be able to official visit Ohio State as planned. That could end up pushing his decision date back.

Torrance Gibson had planned to officially visit Ohio State this weekend, but now his team has a game on Saturday. That may have some affect on his October 20th decision date too.

“I might have to push it back. The game on Saturday ruined the whole thing,” Gibson said.

“I’m going to wait until I take a couple official visits. If I only take one or two, I’m going to have to push the date back a little bit.”

The four-star quarterback isn’t thrilled about the schedule change, but he’ll work it out. He is still unsure of when he’ll officially visit the Buckeyes, but he’s really looking forward to a return visit.

“They’re my leader still,” he said.

“(They have) a great business school, a great coaching staff, and awesome campus. The offense is just me, it just fits me as a quarterback.”

Gibson’s planned official visit to Oklahoma on September 13th for the Tennessee game remains on the calendar.

“(I’m looking forward to) finally meeting the head coach – I’ve met (co-offensive coordinator Josh Heupel), the quarterbacks coach – and just look at the business school again,” Gibson said.

At this time, the South Florida standout doesn’t have any other officials on the calendar, but he’s hoping to set up a few more soon.

“I’m trying to go to Tennessee and Arizona,” he said.

Don’t rule out the hometown Hurricanes either.

“I won’t count Miami as an official visit because it’s right down the street. I can just go down the street for a visit anytime I want to, go to a game.”

Gibson is also considering Auburn and UCF.
