Q1. Coming in to the season it is Sotonye Jamabo vs. Ronald Jones vs. Chris Warren vs. Jordan Stevenson as the race for the No. 1 RB in TXHSFB is on. We will see all three in person this season to decide.
Will Jones make a move for that coveted No. 1 spot?
Question Analysis: He only had 64 yards rushing in the first game, but North cruised to a victory over Newman Smith. Jones is one of the more versatile backs in the state and is able to gash defenses with his speed. Very excited to see him in person for the first time in a real game and not a scrimmage setting.
Q2. What is the deal with Dallas (Texas) Skyline's Kylan Johnson?
Question Analysis: It caught my eye when UCLA extended him an offer in the spring and in the first weekend of football Johnson went off for 300 yards and four touchdowns after moving to quarterback. He will face a stiff test in the face of an Arlington (Texas) Martin defense, but still curious to see the skill set he is bringing to the table and how high up the rankings ladder he should climb.
Q3. Is Southlake (Texas) Carroll defensive back and Scout 2016 four-star Obi Eboh better suited to play corner or safety?
Question Analysis: After seeing him in the State 7v7 tournament I think he has a shot to end up at either spot, so this question could remain cloudy. But after playing safety a year ago he will get the chance to show his lock down skills by playing corner this year (we think he's playing corner). And he will likely get a test as Tulsa Union likes to air it out.
