Four-star defensive end Langi Tuifua and defensive tackle Jay Tufele both picked up offers from Louisville today. The Cardinal coaching staff was checking out the newest Bingham transfer, 2016 Louisville commit Keaton Torre. Obviously, they did their homework and came ready to offer a few of Utah's best.
"When I woke up this morning, I wasn't expecting an offer from Louisville," Tufele claimed. "It's a blessing. It's a great program and while it's not close to home, I am definitely open to Louisville. It's an honor that they offered."
Tuifua had a similar response to the new offer.
"I need to do my research on Louisville," Tuifua said. "I know it's a very good program with a ton of talent. I'm excited to have another offer and once I'm done with my homework, I'm going to check out what the Cardinals have to offer."
Tuifua also broke some big news to Scout tonight.
"It's been a long time coming, but I have officially decommitted from Utah. Coach Sitake and Tuiaki were really two of the main reasons I committed. They offered me and spent a lot of time with me at camp. Now that they are at Oregon State, I am completely open. I probably won't start narrowing my list or mind until my senior year. I am very open."
Tufele and Tuifua are going to see a lot more offers during the 2015 offseason. Tufele is on the verge of receiving a big bump on his Scout rating. He is one of the best interior linemen in Utah and he is just going to get better.
Heimuli-Lund Lands A Few
The Brighton four-star linebacker/running back landed two offers today.
"Oregon State and Oklahoma State both offered me today," Heimuli-Lund shared with Scout. "I'm pretty excited. These are both great programs and it's an honor to get offered by them. I want to go check out both schools sometime this offseason. I've got a great relationship with Coach Sitake and Tuiaki and have heard some good things about Oklahoma State."
Heimuli-Lund ran for 941 yards (8.6 ypc) and 11 touchdowns on the season. The four-star also racked up 107 tackles, 7 sacks, and 2 interceptions. He also holds offers from Utah and BYU.
Ah You Continues To Draw Attention Washington, BYU, and UNLV all stopped by Westlake High School today, to check out the four-star safety Chaz Ah You. The talented athlete is drawing interest from close to 20 schools and holds 6 offers. He is primarily playing quarterback for Westlake, out of necessity, but projects best as a free safety.
