Hilee Taylor commits to UNC

In what was quickly becoming the worst kept secret of the day, Scotland County defensive end Hilee Taylor made it official - he has committed to North Carolina.

"He committed to North Carolina," Scots' assistant coach Norman Quick told Inside Carolina on Friday.

Taylor is a speedy lineman who finished his junior season with 91 tackles and five sacks. He is projected as either a linebacker or pass rushing defensive end in college.

Taylor will become the fourth Fighting Scot to become a Tar Heel. Defensive Back Jacoby Watkins is currently on the team, along with offensive lineman Willie McNeill and walk-on kicker Michael Norton.

IC will be in Laurinburg tonight as they take on Lumberton in the season opener.
