Scout Takes a Look at Nine Committed Recruits Who May Flip By National Signing Day

A lot will change with top recruit from now until National Signing Day, but who are some of the top currently committed prospects we at Scout feel could definitely flip?

CB Chevin Calloway, Dallas (Texas) Bishop Dunne

  • Committed to: Iowa Hawkeyes
  • Likely to Flip to: Arkansas Razorbacks
  • The Buzz: The chances that Calloway ends up at Iowa are very low, but handicapping where he may end up is a bit tougher at this point as he still has four official visits in front of him. He has taken one trip to Nebraska already and has scheduled stops to see Arkansas and Ole Miss. Texas is another school to watch closely as it may have a huge need at the CB position and has two of its current commits at that spot also listed as 'soft verbals'.

ATH Keldrick Carper, Plain Dealing (La.)

  • Committed to: Texas A&M Aggies
  • Likely to Flip to: Notre Dame Fighting Irish
  • The Buzz: Carper committed to the Aggies over the summer and he has his official visit coming up this weekend -- it will be big for both parties. Carper took an official visit to Notre Dame a couple of weeks ago, and the Irish made a big move. Since the visit, the Irish have been trending, so Carper will likely know where he is going soon after he returns from College Station, Texas.

DE Tyree Johnson, Washington (D.C.) St. John’s

  • Committed to: Texas A&M Aggies
  • Likely to Flip to: Maryland Terrapins
  • The Buzz: Johnson committed to Texas A&M but made itclear he wants to take official visits. There is a strong Maryland presence at St. John’s because quarterback Kasim Hill is committed, and gets to talk aboutthe Terps all the time. Also, Johnson said previously plans on making anofficial visit to Maryland, and the campus is less than 30 minute away. Add inMaryland’s momentum recruiting the area, and it is easy to see why Johnson is a flip candidate.

CB Deommodore Lenoir, Los Angeles (Calif.) Salesian

  • Committed to: Oregon Ducks
  • Likely to Flip to: Undecided
  • The Buzz: There isn't one school we can predict Lenoir will flip to as he has yet to schedule any of his official visits, although he does plan to take all five. We do think there's a decent chance it could happen as schools are continuing to push hard for Lenoir after the impressive senior year he is having. The Ducks are off to a rocky start to their season and there's some decent buzz they could be hit by a few player defections. TCU, Nebraska, Boise State, Colorado and Washington are the ones pushing hardest for the flip.

ATH Sione Lund, Salt Lake City (Utah) Brighton

  • Committed to: Stanford Cardinal
  • Likely to Flip to: UCLA Bruins
  • The Buzz: Lund committed to Stanford over Thanksgiving weekend last November. And he’s remained pretty solid to the Cardinal. In fact, he even transferred to a more challenging school academically to enhance his chances of being admitted into Stanford. But he’s also been more open to other schools recruiting him, namely UCLA, USC and Michigan and he’s the ideal back for UCLA’s recent move to a power running game. Running backs coach/offensive coordinator Kennedy Polamalu has really sold him on that role while Marques Tuiasosopo has recruited Salt Lake City hard. Lund still had some work to do for Stanford admission, which could really help the Bruins which is why we think he ends up flipping there in the end.

S Jordan Ulmer, Belleville (Mich.)

  • Committed to: Iowa State Cyclones
  • Likely to flip to: Minnesota Golden Gophers
  • The Buzz: Ulmer is committed to the Cyclones and has been since the summer but the Gophers recently offered and we were told he would be visiting Minnesota. That does not necessarily mean he will flip, but the Gophers will have a chance and of the committed Midwest guys, right now, he's the only one that publicly has visit plans elsewhere.

DE Langi Tuifua, South Jordan (Utah) Brighton

  • Committed to: Oregon Ducks
  • Likely to Flip to: BYU Cougars
  • The Buzz: Tuifua committed to Oregon in the summer of 2015 and has stayed solid. But now he’s scheduling official visits, which on one hand, isn’t something Oregon wants their commits to do and on the other hand, shows how much he’s willing to look around. Utah and BYU have been fervently trying to keep him in-state and Michigan was all over him at the Pride Camp in Utah this year- and Tuifua is fond of Jim Harbaugh plus the Wolverines are working hard on his uncommitted teammate, Jay Tufele. He does have an official visit set up for BYU in January not long before Signing Day and with Oregon struggling this year and Mark Helfrich getting some serious heat, the uncertainty could be hurting the Ducks and we think that pushes Tuifua to flip.

WR Jalen Reagor, Waxahachie (Texas)

  • Committed To: Oklahoma Sooners
  • Likely to Flip to: TCU Horned Frogs
  • The Buzz: Reagor -- who's father played his college ball at Texas Tech -- has spent time on the Red Raiders commitment list and ow the Sooners commitment list, but it looks like there is a chance after an official visit to TCU that he could switch things up one more time. The Horned Frogs may be looking like the spot right now, but Reagor does have a national list of offers and could take a look at a few more programs with his three remaining official visits.

CB Shaun Wade, Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian Academy

  • Committed to: Ohio State Buckeyes
  • Likely to Flip to: Alabama Crimson Tide
  • The Buzz: Wade is an early enrollee and Alabama is set to have the final official visit. The Ohio State commit admits he has a very high comfort level with the Crimson Tide's coaching staff. Others like Florida, Notre Dame and Virginia Tech are involved, but with his relationship with Alabama, him having family in that state, and his familiarity with the program, a lot is point Alabama's direction.
